The prickly pear is the main motif. Based on a compositional study of its different parts and in harmony with the rest of the island's landscape, the work is conditioned by the particularity of the light at a specific time of the day. In spite of this self-imposition, the painting is in tune with a reduced palette of shaded greys based on the greenish richness of the prickly pear cactus itself.
