  Mainly self-taught but had formal training under Harry Alden and later with Anton Calleja. Works mainly in pastels and acrylics, and the human figure, still lifes and landscapes are his favourite subject matter. His pastels are rendered alla prima without any form of blending leaving the colours sitting next to each other to create form and tonal values.
